These are recent photos of the start-up phase of a large Bry-Air desiccant dehumidifier that was integrated into an air handling system serving the surgical floor of a major local hospital. This is a custom 34,000 CFM system air handling unit that was built and subject to the California OSHPD seismic certification process including shake table testing.
The Bry-Air desiccant cassette was provided by Q Applied Systems who worked with exp Engineering and CMS (now DMG) during the design phase. A.O Reed & Company was the project’s mechanical contractor. Bry-Air is a U.S. manufacturer of commercial and industrial desiccant dehumidifiers and environmental systems ranging from 100 CFM to 100,000 CFM with 2014 marking their 50th anniversary.
