Air Handling Units
Several Climate by Desing, Int’l (CDI) desiccant dehumidification air handling units were recently started up and placed in service. These units serve several areas in a semiconductor manufacturing plant where humidity control is very important to the process. This west coast manufacturing plant is located in an area with higher than usual design temperatures and humidity ratios.
These CDI desiccant dehumidifiers utilize both chilled water pre-cooling and desiccant technology to achieve the necessary moisture removal. The combination of face-and-bypass dampers across the desiccant rotor and SCR control of the reactivation heat for moisture rejection offer precision control and energy management. Process balancing and airflow volume control are enhanced with a VFD and direct drive fan with Piezometer Ring and transmitter for direct readout of airflow in CFM.
